My #GirlMeetsGlitter November Ipsy bag is amazing!! The bag is shiny and glitter-full and the products inside are perfect! Here's what I got:
-Laura Mercier finishing powder with a mini fan brush
-Calvin Klein lip gloss
-Elizabeth Mott eyeliner
-Be a bombshell eyeshadow/base
-Marc Anthony hairspray
I got spoiled again by Ipsy with this amazing bag. I definitely lucked out with two higher end brands- Laura Mercier and Calvin Klein- and I feel like Ipsy got me as these would have been my top picks out of their choices this month. Can't wait for December's!
As the days are getting much colder, it's time to keep your toes warm and kushy! Wear stylish work socks and/or flats this season with Kushyfoot's New York Chic collection! Here are some of the products I got to try from them:
-Microfiber Crew socks (above your ankles so you can still wear them under your favorite slacks)
-Fishnet Opaque Knee Highs (to keep your legs warmer underneath pants OR wear them with longer skirts)
My favorite Kushyfoot product- their Flats To Go! I feel like I need at least a new pair every season as these get so worn! The black alligator print brings texture to a pair of boring black flats, and it's shiny so you can't miss them tucked in your bag. (it was a bit tricky taking them out of the plastic packaging, so I recommend placing these in a smaller cloth bag or extra cosmetics case.)
Get these today at kushyfoot.com!! They also have amazing tights to dress up your favorite dresses/skirts.
My hair is extremely thankful for iFabbo for introducing me to the Monat Global Rejuveniqe™ Oil Intensive hair product that I have been using the past couple of weeks.
This incredibly sleek packaged hair oil has hydrated and kept my hair looking shiny and feeling fabulous. My hair is already naturally "oily" so naturally I wouldn't be inclined to use a hair oil. However, there are hydrating benefits to using Rejuvenique, whose key ingredient is Abyssinian Oil, esp. during the winter when my ends get a bit drier than usual. My scalp also reaps the benefits, as it helps control sebum production (aka more oilies).
Bonus? You can also use this on your cuticles, elbows or any other dry patches on your body!! This is definitely my go-to product for this winter and you can too! Check out www.monatglobal.com to learn more!
(Disclaimer: I received this product from this iFabbo to test, try and share my thoughts with my readers.)
My October Birchbox came mid-October and I was thrilled with it! I decided to wait until I tried all the products before I wrote my review. My item selection was the Mally high shine liquid lipstick in Mally Melon. A gorgeous fruity color that delivers shine without stickiness. I already picked up an extra one from their Shop for a holiday gift... *insert excitement for the holidays*
I also got these 4 other samples (from left to right):
-Skin & Co. Sicilian Light serum- day brightening light- didn't see its effect really but it did feel nice and hydrating on my skin.
- Dr. Brandt pores no more Vacuum Cleaner- this is actually one of my favorite masks I've used to extract blackheads many years ago. Glad I got to try it again!
- Amika perk up dry shampoo- still using my other sample from a previous box but I tried this and it actually worked nicely to get rid of my oilies.
Candles + Spa = an amazing experience.. but if you can't go to a spa, you may as well create an environment that smells like one! Old Facory Candle Gift Sets has so many different scent variations but I decided to pick their Spa Day collection- 3 candles of each Cucumber, Lemongrass and Green Tea. For me, the cucumber and lemograss scents smelled very true to their scent. Green tea was hard to make of since I'm so used to drinking the tea and its scent didn't seem the same. Nevertheless, these three candles help create the aroma of a spa.
I also liked that these are natural, soy wax candles so nothing seemed "artificial." They're also 2 oz. each so they're super cute and make great stocking stuffers for the upcoming holidays! The two holiday themed ones- Happy Holidays and Winter Wonderland sound amazing.. who doesn't want to smell gingerbread and/or hot cocoa in their living rooms all winter? :)

A new subscription box debuted in September, BareBlissBox, with a focus on natural and organic beauty products. (they also included a lifestyle product in there too!) This is exactly what I have been looking for (I love trying new and green goodies!) so I was psyched to receive a box from BareBlissBox to review. I have been enjoying this box for the past several weeks now and let me tell you, I can't WAIT for the next one.. I'm been loving each and every single product here!
Here's what I got:
* A.dorn Nail polish - in Silver - this 5-free polish has just the right amount of sparkle! I saw other subscribers receive this in a dark red and a lime green.
* Aromaflage fragrance sample (which doubles as an insect repellent!) This smells pretty good with its dual purpose. Will probably need to get the full size by next year's mosquito season..
* Kosmatology lotion bar- Scented in Grapefruit, this has got to be the CUTEST packaging ever! Reminds me of a small deodorant bottle, so I will have to figure out how to reuse this once I'm done with the lotion. The note card says it is best applied on damp skin, but I've found it to work just as well on dry skin. It's great for touch ups around the elbows, knees and even heels.
* Palmetto derma Eye Cream- this retinol * peptide lifting cream contains firming antioxidants to help smooth and soothe your delicate skin around your eyes. Want to make it feel even cooling? Pop it in your fridge! Feels like you're wearing an eye mask but without anyone knowing!
* SW Basics- Vegan cocoa lip balm (Not gonna lie- I was hoping it would be a toner or exfoliant as they published on their Instagram page.) This lip balm is amazing though.
(Here's another photo of the box from a friend who was one of the first 100 subscribers! She received an extra goody too!)
Thanks to BareBlissBox for this amazing box! Don't forget to subscribe on BareBlissBox.com to get your October box today! ($16.99/monthly OR get a 3 month subscription for $12.99/month)
One of my favorite oils to use for my skincare routine is tea tree oil. Its antiseptic and antimicrobial properties help clear skin and also has aromatherapy benefits too! Some facial cleansers that I have include tea tree oil and I have seen it work well. There are many other uses w/ Tea Tree Oil, including helping with dry skin, sunburns and scars.
Through BrandBacker, I've been using the Apothecary Extracts 100% Pure Australian Tea Tree Oil and many recipes included to make my own DIY solutions- think facial cleansers, spot remover and masks! One of my go-to recipes is the air mist filled with essential oils to help calm and provide clarity (at least it does for me). The recipe includes lavender, clary sage, and lemon essential oils so it smells amazing. All of the recipes is a mixture of something with the tea tree oil- never use oil by itself.
Interested in getting this tea tree oil bottle PLUS an e-book w/ 50+ recipes? Check it out on amazon.com to get your bottle today!

I finally got my Birchbox this month! Absolutely digging the new box design to celebrate their 4th anniversary- it's fresh and the colors pop so this box will be a keeper. ( hoping all boxes in the future will have special designs actually.)
I got 7 different samples this month so super happy about that!
Here's what I got:
This is one of the best boxes I have gotten so far.. I was actually looking at my history of Birchboxes.. lots of samples I had to go through but I really liked everything I received. Can't wait to keep using this.. I'm already excited about October!
This anti-aging product also helps protect you skin from harmful UV rays with SPF of 50. This creamy moisturizer feels like silk on my skin and it contains ingredients such as white tea to provide anti-oxidants. It's formulated to keep skin looking and feeling hydrated all while keeping your skin look it's very best.
Tip: use as a base to hydrate skin and don't forget to apply on your neck too! Learn more here.
Even though it's the Fall season.. it's super important to keep wearing sunscreen to protect your skin from the sun. Luckily you can get the sun protection you need with this product AND it will help keep your skin looking younger. Even though I have oily skin, this moisturizer does not make it more shiny by mid-day.
Tip: Not a fan of foundation?Mix with mineral powder to make your own tinted moisturizer.
September's PopSugar Must Have box came earlier than I expected!! It's a nice mix of Fall items that I'll be using this season so I am excited about these!
Here's what I got:
- Nicole Miller designer ear buds- I've already several pair of ear buds from previous subscription boxes so these weren't necessary. They are cute and include microphones so they will be nice to add to my collection. I haven't even used the one I got from Nina Garcia's quarterly box yet!
- Tilo scarf- This was the sneak peek that I got me excited for this month's box. A casual grey with red accents will be perfect to dress up a light sweat er.
Per PopSugar's description card included in the box, there were 2 Special Extras:
- A $20 Nike gift card!- it also comes with a code to enjoy free shipping and a measuring tape to get your perfect size for their sports bras. The measuring tape will also be perfect for my sewing DIY crafts.
- Ghiradelli Milk Chocolate Sea Salt & Almond Minis- these bags are the perfect treat but it's so hot right now.. they're sitting in the fridge.
All in all, another great box!!! If you haven't signed up for PopSugar's Must Have box yet, be sure to sign up. It's $39/month and compared to others I have received and gotten, you definitely get a great variety of items to use, reuse and love for the rest of the month.. until your next box comes along!
My September Ipsy bag is here!! I'm not crazy about the silver metallic bag but it is different from all the other bags that I have gotten. I am loving the contents INSIDE the bag though. They're all useful and practical and I'm seriously digging the variety!
Goodies in my Ipsy bag:
- Pacifica Eyeliner pencil- I've already got this in Gun Metal, so glad I got another color- Fringe (dark brown). Perfect to wear everyday.
- Crown Eyeshadow brush for creases and eyeshadows. This 2 in 1 brush is awesome! I can never have enough brushes so glad to add this to my collection.
- Nourish Organics- Face Cleanser in Cucumber & Watercress- this sample size cleanser is great for travel. I've already tried this before in my Teens Turning Green Conscious Collections box last year, so glad I got some extra! Cream cleansers are gentle and more moisturizing for the fall.
- Briogeo's Don't Despair, Repair! deep conditioning mask- this 1 oz. tub is super hydrating with avocado, almond and argan oils. Since my hair is already on the oilier side, this will be only for the ends! I've found my hair more conditioned when I use a conditioning mask every other week.
- Cailyn Art Touch Tinted lip gloss- this dark red color is more dark than what I would normally wear- which is why I love subscription boxes. I get to try new colors/products that I wouldn't usually go for. I'm saving this for late Fall though.. it still feels like summer to wear this dark of a red.
As always look forward to October's Ipsy bag and seeing what kind of treats they'll be including. I feel like Ipsy has been spot on with my products! They're giving me the products that I would've wanted from all the choices they have for the month and they're also more natural products. :)
Anti-aging. I recently had a friend ask if I used any anti-aging products and I had to really think about it. I know I use a lot of products but were they specifically targeted for anti-aging? My routine has been on a roller coaster ride- some weeks it gets very complex, then simple, then back to trying more products. I began to investigate more into anti-aging ingredients and immediately I found ones that used the ingredient Resvertrol- naturally found in plants and even foods such as red grapes (think wine!).
A skincare line that I've discovered, SOBO Skincareoffers a line of anti-aging products and I got the opportunity to test a sample of their Ultra Age Repairing Cream with Resveratrol. What is great about their product is that they focus on using natural and organic ingredients. It contains jojoba and apricot kernel oil to help moisturize your skin and of course, resvertrol and hyaluronic acid to reduce the appearance of wrinkles.
My experience:
I have used this for a few nights already and I can tell you laugh lines around my mouth seem to be less noticeable now. The cream felt incredibly light and smooth on my skin and left a nice finish afterwards. Overall, my face looks brighter and definitely more smooth. I'm always inclined to use products that contain natural oils on my face to keep it from drying out.
I'm excited to try the other products in their skincare line now!
For my readers, I have a special 25% off discount to use on SOBO Skincare! Use this code: TRYSOBO at checkout (soboskincare.com) and you can save 25% Off!! (note: discount is applied to your first purchase only and cannot be combined with any other discounts.)
With summer almost coming to an end, it doesn't mean you still won't need to groom! I'll still be wearing shorts and dresses well into the September and October so shaving & waxing will still be on my to-do list. Do you prefer a razor or a waxer? Shaving with razors always seemed easier to me until I discovered DIY Waxing kits at home with SweetEase! I mean after all, their tagline is: "Easy Peasy! Wax It Sweetie!" Plus- with waxing, you'll get to enjoy smooth-free skin longer than shaving!
I received the Bikini Waxing Kit, Leg Waxing Kit and Face Waxing Kit to try and also to compare the differences between the 3. (They're available at Ulta and only cost $4-5 per kit)
Here's the Leg waxing kit and comes with 20 strips. (10 packets but each has a side of wax so counts has 2 strips) To "warm" up the wax, simply slide your hands over the wax strip as if you're warming up your hands. Once you feel the wax is warm, you can peel off and you'll get two strips with wax to start using! Note: the Leg waxing kit has the LARGEST wax strips, compared to the other two.
Each kit comes with EASY instructions so you can follow along and two towelettes to remove any remaining residue wax afterward.
The Bikini Waxing Kit is also very similar to the Leg waxing kit but there are only 16 strips (8 packettes) and a bit smaller. These were also easier to "warm" up as the wax strips are smaller. They're vanilla scented so definitely smelled nice. The after-use wipes were also useful as it can be a bit sticky, plus the wax hardens. If you're out of the wipes, I recommend using Argan Oil on a cotton ball/wipe.
The Face Waxing Kit are the smallest of the wax kits which makes sense since you do not want to wax your eyebrows off! These can also be used for legs and bikini areas in case some spots.

A new box had been revealed on Birchbox. Occasionally they launch special edition boxes with different themes, and this time, they teamed up with CEW (Cosmetic Executive Women Insiders’
Choice Beauty Awards) to choose items for this Best-in-Beauty bundle box.
Here's what's in the box:
Mally Beauty’s High-Shine Liquid Lipstick Pen in Just Heaven
Smashbox Cosmetics’ Always Sharp Waterproof Kohl Liner in Storm
This summer, I have been upping my fitness routines by attending outdoor fitness activities and also trying out new DVDs. (Pairing my workouts with the awesome Fabletics outfits.) Ever since I've been using my Barre Conditioning video last year, I've been hooked! I've discovered another DVD that has even more ballet-inspired workouts to help get a ballerina physique- Jessica Smith's Barre Fitness DVD.
Jessica Smith is a YouTube guru who has some amazing videos on different workout sessions. I haven't heard of her until I got the DVD so I was happy to add her to my YouTube subscription list. There are three 20-minute sessions that help focus on what you want to accomplish in your workout. (Also the shorter quick-hits makes it easier when you're on a time crunch!) There's Cardio Ballet, Barre Burn and a Floor Barre routine.
Here's a rundown for each of the routines: The Cardio Ballet routine is an incredible routine of exercises to keep your heart rate up (w/o having to wear sneakers)! When you don't have a lot of room to exercise (think- you can even do this in your living room or hotel room) this is a great routine to do. It's low impact, moving your entire body while jogging lightly.
The Barre Burn routine uses a chair and hand weights (optional) to help simulate a classroom with actual ballet bars. Lots of great strength exercises here to workout the glutes and butt! (Note the chair used should have a back that is about the height of your waist). The strength exercises using the hand weights were actually my favorite part. Some exercises including a chair pose while extending arms in & out and holding the weights, and a tree pose with arms extended while holding weights.
The Floor Barre routine is probably my favorite since my preference are anything mat routines. It's best used with a small ball but since I don't have one, a yoga pillow worked to help support my back. There's tons of core work exercises so this was a great routine to help strengthen those muscles as well as my back.
Happy September! It's the start of a new month and the end of the Labor Day long weekend! I've been enjoying my weekend so far, hanging out with family, running some errands and catching up on sleep!
I've been broadening my workouts and trying new DVDs- can't wait to share them with you soon! Throughout the summer, I have been wearing my favorite outfits from Fabletics- comfortable and chic active wear. Their coordinated outfits make it easy for you to choose - all you need to select are the size and colors (if there are color options.)
Also, first outfit is only $25! (Half off their cheapest option of $49.95) I've selected outfits that had 3 items in it- a top, bottom(shorts or capris) and a sports bra. Each month they unveil different designs and outfits and
As a VIP Member, you get to choose your monthly outfit from the 1st to the 5th of each month or you can "Skip" for the month. Join Fabletics today to get your first outfit for only $25 and to see what styles they'll select for you based on your preferences!
If you're interested in getting picks that Rockettes dancers are fancy for, then I definitely recommend this. They gave a sneak peek which includes leg warmers for their dance workouts. I'm not a dancer but I'm hoping they incorporate fitness products that I can use and incorporate in my life.
It's their first box this month - shipping on September 8th, and the last day to order their September box is September 2! (Site says orders placed before the third of each will get processed.)
Woohoo! My second box from Nicky Hilton's Fancy box subscription came this week and I couldn't be more excited. (I have to admit- I saw a sneak peek on social media first so I knew what was coming.) If you didn't see my Fancy box from last month, read it here. Even Nicky Hilton herself- retweeted my review!!!
(The red stilettos is my phone holder from July's box)
I loved every single item from July's box that I knew I had to keep subscribing to see more of her personal picks. I loved the necklace from Lumo so I was glad to get another piece of jewelry- a gorgeous gold leaf ring from KatieDean Jewelry. (It's by far my fave piece from her boxes so far.)
It fits me perfectly so yes- I won't be taking it off!
I'm also psyched to receive the following items:
- Paris versus New York book- a comparison of New York City and Paris culture in images.. it's quite interesting to see and being a NY native, I had to chuckle! Definitely would love to go to Paris one day, so this is a great read!
- AJ Morgan Sunglasses- this cat eye pair of shades is just what my wardrobe needs.. a new addition! It may look a bit too large for my face shape, or not, but it's fun so I definitely will be wearing it all-year! It's sunny where I am so I appreciate Nicky's pick.
- Kitten Pouch- It's all about the kitties!! I wish it was a bit bigger though but it's definitely something that can fit into a small purse and hold my mini samples!
Again, Nicky did an amazing job of curating these items that I really, really love. It's so my style and enjoy her book picks. I've been using the journal from last month as my gratitude journal, with my candle by my night stand.
If Nicky reads this, I hope to see the 365 Style book in my September box! :)
Get yours today!! The box costs $39 + $8 for shipping but the value is more than $100!

As part of my "try new boxes" journey, I decided to get my first Vegan Cuts beauty box. Not gonna lie- their sneak peeks and new sign-up perk easily convnced me! Check out my first box here:
All subscribers get the same products except for the variation in scents. New sign ups also received a mini pack of Jasmine Seven fresh feet wipes or yoga mat wipes. I signed up pretty late so glad I was still able to get this! The yoga mat wipes came in handy too!
The sneak peek video I saw from Vegan Cuts included the emani colour for lips, cheeks and eyes, Pacifica BB cream and the Balanced Guru mist. Those were probably the 3 main and largest items in here that makes the box worth it's $20 price-tag. The two additional items- soap and bath salts are nice but would have loved to see a larger sample size from them.
I absolutely love the Balanced Guru energy mist I received! I'm a huge fan of natural oils and aromatherapy and this is definitely the pick- me- up that I needed!
The BB cream from Pacifica is relatively new and very radiant. It's a bit too shimmery for me to use all over but I've been using it as a highlighter. results? Absolutely glowing!
My fave product? The Emani color compact with flecks of copper shimmers is gorgeous!! I don't have anything like this so it's nice for the lips and cheeks. They're also handmade so no two pots are alike!
Oh and this box was curated by MyBeautyBunny! One of my fave green bloggers out there!
Check out Vegancuts.com to get your Beauty box today!!
My Ipsy "Beauty School" bag came this month and came with so many great products! The white with orange polka dot bag can be transformed into a cute pencil case also! Ipsy did a great job in selecting the items for me- these are probably my top 5 picks out of the all the products they were sampling for this month. :)
Here's what I got:
- Klorane Dry Shampoo (I've gotten this in my Birchbox already so already use and love it!)
- Dr. Brandt Pores No More! Pore Refiner Primer
- Urban Decay Perversion mascara- mini sized is great for travel
- Jersey Shore Sun Mongongo lip balm in Mandarin Green Orange Ginger
- J. Cat beauty eyeshadow in Half Naked (more of a peachy color)
Yes- I finally got my PopSugar Must Have box and I am extremely pleased with what I received! Of course I saw all the spoilers prior to getting my box so it wasn't a complete surprise. But it was so much better to see my items in person. Plus I didn't know if I was going to get the necklace or the earrings.
I recently discovered a new natural beauty box- BlissBareBox which debuts their September box next month! I'm excited to check this out as they just released which brands will be in the premiere box.
There won't be any foil sized samples here! Monthly subscriptions start at $16.99/month or $12.99/month with a 3 month subscription.
This month's Birchbox, themed "Lighten Up" was a treat! Full of deluxe sized samples, this has got to be one of the better boxes from Birchbox this year!
We got to choose a sample again and I chose the Laura Geller Cool Lids eyeshadow in a silvery shade.
I also got the Ageless BodyCream from Harvey Prince which smells amazing, a nugg face mask in revitalizing which contains flaxseed and peppermint oil, and a Neil George shampoo and Conditioner set. I would have loved to get the Benefit Lollitint but many of the other products I have already tried!! :)
The Nugg Mask is pretty amazing and I can't wait to pick up some more at my local Target.
Excited for next month's Birchbox!! I got mine delivered before the 10th which is amazing considering I got mine pretty late the prior month.
Have you signed up ? Don't forget each month you can do reviews to get about ~$5 worth of points to shop on Birchbox.com!
Right now you can get this amazing box full of natural goodies - ranging from skincare to snacks to lifestyle products - from The Conscious Collections. This box also supports the Teens Turning Green program.
