Jergens® Ultra Healing® Extra Dry Skin Moisturizer Review

Some days it feels like winter, and some days it feels like Spring.. This yo-yo pattern is making it difficult to figure out what to wear and whether I should put away my winter clothes yet. I do know that my skin is still in need of moisture as my hands get really dry and sometimes red. This past few weeks, I've been testing out the Jergens Ultra Healing Extra Dry Skin Moisturizer. I've been using Jergens since I can remember, always had a bottle of it in my bathroom, so I wasn't too surprised when my skin felt at ease with this lotion. My scaly patches were healed and no more felt an itchiness on my dry skin! I use this right before I go to sleep or right after the shower (which is recommended). Either way your skin should feel instant relief, as mine did, from the first time I applied the Ultra Healing lotion. I'll be leaving this in the bathroom as usual for everyone to use.. :)

February Birchbox featuring Beauty Blender

I received my February Birchbox earlier this month- before Valentine's Day- and what a treat it was! It had some great products including the Beauty Blender sponge- perfect for lightly dabbing foundation, smudging concealer under eyes and basically blending to perfection. It's a hot pink sponge that I've been eye-ing for years and finally I get my hands on one! :) Another favorite product from this month's box is the Jouer Tinted Moisturizer. Normally I use my fingers to blend, but I have Beauty Blender sponge this time. The color is illuminating and only wish the sample was lot bigger.. Also got an exfoliating cleanser from Dermalogica, a heart-shaped nail file, and some music downloads!

So glad the Birchboxes have gotten better and better this year!! Can't wait for my March box in the next two weeks! Haven't joined the Birchbox wagon yet.. join today!

Batiste at Katie Gallager Fashion Show

One of my fave dry shampoos, Batiste, was the official sponsor for the Katie Gallagher Fall/Winter 2012 Fashion Week show in NYC earlier this month. All stylists backstage used Batiste on the models' hair to look their very best and showcase the new collection by Katie Gallagher. What I love most about Batiste is that it really takes away my oily roots and makes my hair smell great! A simple few sprays and work it through your hair to make it Batiste fabulous!

ShaToBu Body Shapewear- Get Fit™ Tights

Can you believe it's already mid-February? I feel like 2012 just began, don't you? I've been diligently working on my fitness goal this year- attending weekly yoga classes at a studio as well as keeping up with at-home yoga sessions (and adding in some strength exercises too!) While I feel great during my workouts, during the day I feel I need that extra oomph. That's where ShaToBu comes into my life...

These amazing shaping and toning tights are perfect to wear while sporting a cute tweed skirt or even underneath my pants when it's reaaally cold out. There are several kinds of tights that ShaToBu offers, but the I one I got to try was their High Waist Get Fit Tight. Personally this would be my preference- high waist- so it can really smooth out your stomach. The Get Fit Tights overall have muscle toning resistance bands around the top and thigh areas so every time you're moving and walking, your body works a bit harder. (Hence, using those resistance bands in strength workouts really help!) :)

If you're not used to wearing to tights, then these will probably be uncomfortable for you at first. But after a few more wears, you'll get used to the microfiber tights to help you get that smooth shape! Check out MORE ShaToBu body shapewear products here.


If you're already wearing some other kind of Body Shapewear already, I would recommend trying a pair to see the difference that the resistance bands make. Don't expect to wear these as a substitute for a real strength training workout, but you'll notice that with consistent movement these ShaToBu tights will help you feel more of a burn. :)
